So not only do I actually have someone to cook for every day now, but I live somewhere where it actually gets below freezing which means warm food tastes even better! We tried this new Texas crockpot chili and I HIGHLY recommend it - It's a seconds-worthy meal. Here is the Ashley version:
Serves: 8
Ingredients:
2 lbs lean ground beef
1/2 can of roma tomato diced - drained
1 small onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1 30 oz can tomato sauce
1/4 cup chili powder
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp salt & pepper
1/2 cube beef bullion
1 cups water
1 4 oz green chilies can - drained
1 16 oz pinto beans can - drained
1 16 oz chili beans in sauce can
1 tbsp cayenne pepper - optional, but I highly recommend!
Instructions:
In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion. Drain the extra grease and set aside.
In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients including the cooked ground beef. Stir and cook on low in your crockpot for 6 to 8 hours.
Serve with your favorite toppings: Mashed potatoes (Dom's favorite), Fritos, cheese, sour cream!
